Research Notes

This page needs closer examination and clarification. -- jillaine 08:28, 21 February 2009 (EST)

The bulk of NEHGR volume 14 (No 4, starting on p 297) focuses on the founders of New England; the article begins here (paid membership required).

While the Register article says:

The Register of the names of all ye Passinger[s] wch Passed from ye Port of London for an whole yeare ending Xmas 1635

OliveTree notes that "This set of records consists of various passenger lists, names of individuals ready to sail to New England, and names of those taking the Oath of Allegiance (in preparation for sailing). It is not always obvious when each ship left. Researchers will have to determine whether or not a ship made more than one sailing each year it is mentioned."
