"This site presents compiled genealogies, in register format, of families that settled in New Netherland between 1623 and 1664. These families came primarily from northern Europe. They are of many ethnic origins including: Dutch, Flemish, French, German, Scandinavian and English along with a few from Prussia, Poland, Italy, Scotland, Ireland etc. Because of the many marriages between Dutch settlers in New Netherland and English settlers in New England, on Long Island and in New Jersey, many early English families are also included.

"This is a work in progress and is continuously being expanded."

Much, but not all, of the info stated stated in these registers is gleaned from articles published in "The Record" by the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society. Note that the author presents each individual's father's name between arrows < > to be more specific as to which Charity or Hope or Robert he is referring to.

Mr. Clarke has also posted a lot of this on a rootweb chart. But it has not yet been verified that the two sites contain identical data.
