Willie Brown (WALKER) Caldwell, b 29 Nov 1860, Newbern VA, d 21 Mar 1946, Roanoke VA, bur Evergreen Cemetery, Roanoke VA, was a d/o James Alexander WALKER, b 27 Aug 1832, Mt Meridian VA, d 20 Oct 1901, Wytheville VA, bur E End Cemetery, Wytheville VA. She was the author of "Stonewall Jim: A Biography of General James A. Walker, C.S.A.", Northcross House, Publishers, Elliston, Virginia, 1990. The subject of the book was her father. "Stonewall Jim" was published more than 40 years after the author's death. Willie Brown (WALKER) Caldwell wrote the book in the years between the 2 World Wars and after the 1902 Walker genealogy of Emma (Siggins) White [ Source:White, 1902 ] was published. Willie Brown (WALKER) Caldwell wrote that legend had it that she descended from John Walker of Wigton [As described by Source:White, 1902 ]
