Colchester Tp never existed [6 December 2012]

Colin, "Colchester Tp" has been entered as a county. Colchester South Township and Colchester North Township existed until 1999. Then there was a reorganization and both townships joined with a few other places to make a new municipality called "the Town of Essex".

I hope all the changes you made referred to Colchester South. Then it should be easy to do a rename or redirect.

Unfortunately, Essex decided not to name any of its new municipalities "municipalities". They all were titled Towns or Cities and that made it very confusing when it came to WR-speak. See the map I imported from Wikipedia on the Essex County page. --goldenoldie 09:06, 25 November 2012 (EST)

I think Colin created this page to fix red-links appearing on pages such as Person:Roland Larabee (1). However, if it's not clear the pages wanted Colchester South vs. Colchester North - we should likely not have a definitive redirect that points to one or the other. --Jennifer (JBS66) 09:10, 25 November 2012 (EST)

--- Have now renamed Colchester Tp to Colchester (township) after finding numerous entries. Obviously the original township was split north and south at sometime unknown, but probably in the late 19th century.--goldenoldie 05:37, 6 December 2012 (EST)
