Woodford County is a county located in the heart of the Bluegrass region of the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2000, the population was 23,208. Its county seat is Versailles. The county is named for General William Woodford, who was with General George Washington at Valley Forge. It is part of the Lexington-Fayette, KY Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Woodford County is home to Woodford Reserve, the Kentucky bourbon manufactured at the Labrot & Graham Distillery. Established in 1812, it is the oldest Bourbon distillery in the state. Also the home to the Life Adventure Center, Wiesinburger mill, Castle post hotel, and the former Old Taylor Distellry.
