West Harlsey is a hamlet and civil parish in the Hambleton District of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated near the A19 road, 3 miles north east of Northallerton.

Prior to the nationwide municipal reorganization of 1974, West Harlsey was located in Northallerton Rural District. Historically, it was located in the ancient parish of Osmotherley in the Allerton Wapentake. It was in the Northallerton Registration District.
