Wanborough is a large village and civil parish in the Borough of Swindon, Wiltshire, England. The village is about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) southeast of Swindon town centre. The settlement along the High Street is Lower Wanborough, while Upper Wanborough is on higher ground to the southwest. The parish includes the hamlets of Horpit (a short distance north of Wanborough) and Foxhill, 1.5 miles (2.4 km) to the southeast. In the 2011 UK census the population of Wanborough was 2,069.

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Wanborough from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"WANBOROUGH, a parish, with a village, in Highworth [registration] district, Wilts; 4½ miles SE by E of Swindon [railway] station. It has a post-office under Shrivenham, Berkshire. Acres: 4,440. Real property: £8,868. Population: 960. Houses: 198. The manor belonged anciently to the St. Amands, and passed to the Lovells and others. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Gloucester and Bristol. Value: £375. Patrons: the Dean and Chapter of Winchester. The church is old; and has a tower at one end, and a spire at the other. There are a Wesleyan chapel, a national school, and charities £12."
