Shipton Gorge is a village in south west Dorset, England, three miles east of Bridport. The village has a population of 319, 11% of dwellings are second homes.
There is no actual gorge at Shipton Gorge; the village is named after the de Gorges family who owned the land many hundreds of years ago. The terrain surrounding the village is hilly.
