Ringford is a village located just east of the Tarff Water at a road junction 5 miles (8 km) north of Kirkcudbright.

Ringford was situated in the parish of Tongland in the former County of Kirkcudbrightshire in southwest Scotland. This area is now part of the unitary authority called the Dumfries & Galloway Council Area.
