- "In 1865 [Calvin] Prosser had set aside one acre for a cemetery in Ellsworth Township. Over the years, 60 people were buried there.
- "In 1923 a marble shaft marked Prosser's grave and in 1934 three headstones marked the resting places of Prosser, Russell Stillman and Mrs. Prosser.
- "Three of the graves were moved to Oak Hill Cemetery - those of Prosser, Stillman and Anna Prosser, Calvin's daughter.
- "Others buried in the Prosser cemetery were Elmer Overen, buried [Sep] 1937; a Luikart boy; Rhodes twins; two unidentified farmhands; two Civil War veterans; a 10-year-old boy; a 12-year-old girl; Mrs. Crumb; Mr. Goff; Mr. Gilbert; Mr. Bauf; Mr. and Mrs. Hansen and two Hansen children; and Mr. Jorgenson.
