The Oadby and Wigston District is a local government district and borough in the English county of Leicestershire. It was formed in 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972, from the merger of the Oadby and Wigston Urban Districts.

The District has a total area of 9.08 sq mi (23.53 km2) and a population (from a mid-2014 estimate) of just under 56,000, yielding a density of 6,200 people per square mile (2,400/km2). It is primarily an urban area, but not an industrial one.
