Nepomuk is a town in Plzeň-South District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 3,700 inhabitants. It is known as the birthplace of Saint John of Nepomuk (also called St. John Nepomucene), who was born here in around 1340 and whose statue can be seen on the town square.
