Montréal-Sud

was a hamlet in the historical county of Chambly.
Montréal-Sud became a town in 1911.
In 1961, it merged with and adopted the name of the municipality of
Longueuil
.

"MONTREAL SOUTH, a post hamlet in Chambly co., Que., founded 1890, between St. Lambert and Longueuil, on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River. It contains 1 Methodist church and 8 stores. Pop. 600."
