History

Many of the early settlers of Clearfield County are buried at McClure Cemetery. Many of its graves are marked, while unfortunately some are not. The first burial there was of Robert Cresswell in 1807. At, or near the cemetery, the first school house in the county was built in 1804.[1]

Location

Located in Curwensville, just off the Lumber City Highway, the McClure Cemetery overlooks the Curwensville Dam.
