Laurel County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2000, the population was 52,715. Its county seat is London.6 Laurel is a prohibition or dry county, but the city of London allows limited sales of alcoholic beverages by the drink in restaurants that seat at least 100 diners and derive at least 70% of total sales from food.
