Kirkmuirhill is a village in South Lanarkshire, Scotland, until 1975 located in Lesmahagow Parish in the County of Lanarkshire. It is situated in the valley of the River Nethan close to the M74 Motorway which runs from the English Border to Glasgow. The village of Blackwood is adjacent; the two villages almost adjoin. The town of Lanark is about 6 miles distant.
Traditional industry in the village was mining, but this has long since declined. Many householders commute to Hamilton or Glasgow for employment.

This brings you to another page on which one can enter the name of the parish in which you are interested.
