Guist is a village and and civil parish in Norfolk, England. It covers an area of 6.80 km2 (2.63 sq mi) and had a population of 242 in 102 households at the 2001 UK census, increasing slightly to a population of 250 in 110 households at the 2011 UK census (when the population of the small parish of Twyford, situated immediately to the south, was added). For the purposes of local government, it falls within the Breckland District Council.
At the crossroads of the A1067 road and the B1110 roadis the Clock Tower, a distinctive landmark of the area. On the village green is an example of a brick kiln. The church of St Andrew contains a "Green Man" carving on the pulpit.
Twyford House is a Grade II listed manor house on the edge of the village.
A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Guist from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1871-72:
- "GUIST, a village and a parish in Mitford [registration] district, Norfolk. The village stands near the river Wensum, 2 miles WNW of Foulsham, and 3½ N by E of Elmham {railway] station; and has a post office under Thetford. The parish comprises 1,674 acres. Real property: £3,217. Population: 361. Houses: 75. The manor belongs to the family of Norris. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Norwich. Value: £168. Patron: the Rev. W. Norris. The church is ancient; has an embattled tower; and contains monuments of the Bulwers, the Wiggetts, and others."
