Research Tips

One of the best places to do genealogy research is in the probate court at the Norwalk Courthouse in Norwalk. I went on many trips there to do research and have quite a collection of vital records. The probate court is on the main floor at the back on the left. The files are in a little room in the corner and there is a computer that can be used to conduct research. When a record is found, write the name of the person, record type and citation on the genealogy request sheets. Normally it takes about 5 business days to complete depending upon the schedule of the court personnel. Business hours are 8am - 4 pm M - F.
