Place:Garland Cemetery, Annona, Red River, Texas, United States

Located on FM 44, about two miles south of Annona. The oldest marked burial is that of Ella L. McCallum who died 3 Sep 1874 and was buried on the land of Isaiah D. Lawson. The subsequent owners of the land conveyed the cemetery area to the Annona Methodist Episcopal Church. There are about 700 burials and the cemetery is still occasionally in use, though many of the families represented no longer live in the area and the grounds are not always well kept up. (There also are numerous "temporary" funeral home markers placed years ago that apparently will never be replaced by permanent headstones.)
