"FREEFORD, an extra-parochial tract in Lichfield district, Stafford; 1 mile SE of Lichfield. Population: 9. Houses: 2."

Freeford was a civil parish from 1858 until 1934 when it became part of the parish of Swinfen and Packington remaining within Lichfield Rural District. In 1974 the area became part of the Lichfield municipal district.
