Evesham St. Lawrence was one of the ecclesiatical parishes of Evesham along with Evesham All Saints and Bengeworth St. Peter. The three ancient parishes became civil parishes during the 19th century. In 1924 they lost their civil parish status when Evesham took over the role.

Evesham All Saints (covering the northwestern end of the town) and Evesham St. Lawrence (covering the southeast) were considered one parish matching the Municipal Borough of Evesham before 1851. Parish Registers started in 1599 and Bishops Transcriptions in 1612.
