Engdal is a small village located on the southern side of Vinjefjorden, in the northernmost part of Møre og Romsdal. E39, the road connecting Aalborg with Trondheim passes through the village only a few kilometres south-west of the county border between Møre og Romsdal and Sør-Trøndelag.

The village was part of Aure before it was transferred to Halsa on January 1, 1976.
