Dorchester St. Peter was one of three ecclesiastical parishes which formed Dorchester, the county town of Dorset, England. It also became a civil parish in 1866. It served the west-central part of the town. In 1894 the parish absorbed the parish of Dorchester Holy Trinity. It remained a civil parish until 1927 when its non-ecclesiastical duties were taken over by Dorchester Municipal Borough.
