Bryncroes is a hamlet and former civil parish in the Welsh county of Gwynedd (before 1974 the historic county of Caernarvonshire), and lies on the Llŷn Peninsula approximately 2 km west of Sarn Mellteyrn.

The parish was abolished in 1934 and divided between Botwnnog and Aberdaron.

A Vision of Britain through Time provides the following description of Bryncroes from John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales of 1870-72:

"BRYNCROES, a parish in Pwllheli [registration] district, Carnarvon; on the river Soch, under Mynydd-Rhiw, 12 miles WSW of Pwllheli [railway] station. Post Town, Bottwnog, under Pwllheli. Acres: 3,646. Real property: £2,100. Population: 889. Houses: 210. The property is divided among a few. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Bangor. Value: £107. Patron: W. G. Wynne, Esq. The church needs repair. There is a Calvinistic Methodist chapel. Charities, £18."
