History

Brokke is probably the location of the Brokke farm, and the Brokke hydroelectric (300 MW) power plant, which is on the Otra River, taking advantage of the elevation drop from the Botsvatn mountain.

Research Tips

This small village is south of Valle (which is south of Bykle) on highway 9, which intersects highway 42 as it runs south to Kristiansand on the coast.
