• "BIC, an important village and summer resort in Rimouski co., Que. .on the I.C. R. It contains 1 Roman Catholic church, 8 stores, 1 hotel, 3 flour, 3 saw and 2 carding mills. 2 cheese factories, 1 telegraph and 1 express office. Bic was designed during the French "régime" to be an important roadstead, and it is now the landing place of the pilots of ocean going steamers, the "Alpha" and "Omega" of the river navigation. Pop. 1750."
