Alamo is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Lincoln County, Nevada, United States, about north of Las Vegas. Its elevation is . As of the 2010 census it had a population of 1,080. Founded in 1901, Alamo is named after the Spanish word for "poplar" due to the presence of that type of tree.
