Ainthorpe is a village in the Scarborough district of the county of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated within the North York Moors National Park in the Esk Valley, a quarter of a mile south of Danby and 12 miles west of Whitby.

Ainthorpe is famous for its 15th century hotel - the Fox & Hounds Inn.
