not the WIlliam Cole of 1840 and 1860 censuses [10 December 2023]

According to his son Isaac's obituary, he died about 1822. Therefore, the William Cole of later census records couldn't have been him. As far as I can tell, there is no evidence for his first name.

Unless there is reason to be skeptical about the accuracy of his son's obituary, the information on the later census records should be removed and his name changed to Unknown Cole. BTW: I couldn't find any Cole's living in New Jersey in the 1810 or 1820 censuses - I wonder if some records have been destroyed.

Similarly there appears to be no evidence for his wife's first name.--DataAnalyst 02:11, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
