Perhaps a link to Maine? [13 January 2012]

The Maine Historical Magazine discusses the marriage of Sarah Packard, daughter of Timothy of North Bridgewater, Mass., in a piece about the Eames Family of Islesboro Maine. This seems likely to be linked to this Timothy Packard, based on the dates. See Contents of the Maine Historical Magazine (1885-1894) Part 2 (Vol 5, No. 3, p.47). --Brenda (kennebec1) 15:36, 13 January 2012 (EST)

It appears to be. [1] [2] [3] Her birth and intentions are found in Bridgewater VRs, and her baptism is found in Brockton (North Bridgewater) VRs. I don't see any other Timothy that of the right age, though there are a lot of Packards in Bridgewater. But the age at death of Timothy is off by a few years. His death in 1780 was before the marriage, meaning any will would be no help, and only the slimmest chances of a distribution or receipt naming his daughter after she married.
Just out of curiosity, why not link to the scanned magazine rather than just the table of contents? Or add links to the start of each article next to its listing in the Table of Contents? --Jrich 16:33, 13 January 2012 (EST)
