Two Samuels (actually three) [26 November 2012]

Based on the 1935 Griswold genealogy, the Samuel born at Windsor 15 December 1684 was son of Thomas and Mary (Howard) Griswold who subsequently removed to Wethersfield. He was, therefore, grandson of Michael and Ann (_____) Griswold (pp 167 and 181). The Samuel born at Windsor 7 Aug 1685 was son of Thomas and Ester/Hester (Drake) Griswold, grandson of George and Mary (Holcombe) Griswold and great-grandson of Edward and Margaret (Hicks) Griswold (pp 17, 19, 35, 71). To further confuse the matter, Edward's son John and his wife Mary Bemis also had a son Samuel, this one born at Killingworth 14 April 1685 (p 32). At some point, I may get around to straightening this out, but it's not near the top of my list--jaques1724 18:22, 26 November 2012 (EST)
