I did a little more digging, and I believe the name Ida Sootsma refers to Meint Wiersma's second wife, Ykje Zoodsma. Saapke died when Sjouke/George was only 9 years old, so it makes sense that he would list Ykje as his mother. --Jennifer (JBS66) 09:54, 13 December 2012 (EST)
