I removed the death date of "9 Feb 1739/40" in Concord. When I look this up, I find that Ruth Prescott d. 9 Feb 1740. This was the widow of Jonathan Prescott (her third husband, following previous marriages to Ephraim Jones and Thomas Brown) and is commonly identified as the d/o Thomas Wheeler and Ruth Wood, b. 1652. I find nothing under the name Ruth Wheeler.

Neither Source:Wheeler, Albert Gallatin. Genealogical and Encyclopedic History of the Wheeler Family in America nor Source:Wheeler, Henry M. Genealogy of Some of the Descendants of Obadiah Wheeler of Concord, and Thomas Thaxter of Hingham show any details for Ruth besides her birth date. Source:Wheeler Families of Old Concord, Massachusetts show her marrying Samuel Hartwell, but they also show Ruth, the sister of Obadiah and aunt to this Ruth, marrying Samuel Hartwell, and the second match is confirmed by George Wheeler's will mentioning daughter Ruth Hartwell. Meanwhile Obadiah's will only mentions one daughter, Susanna, showing Ruth had died by 1671. --Jrich 23:39, 17 August 2011 (EDT)
