YOU NEED TO CHECK FURTHER ABOUT ROBERT HENRY LARABEE [19 May 2014]

Robert Henry Larabee was my Grandfather. He did live for some time in Coal Co, Oklahoma. He was born in 1897 and died in Dec., 1975. He is buried in Sunnylane Cemetery in Oklahoma City. He married Dovie Mae Flowers and had four living children: Albert, Dolly, Eula and Bertha. His parents were Charles Edward Larabee and Hildy (Hulda) Blevins. Hulda's parents were Alfred Blevins and Nancy Phillips. Charles Edward Larabee's parents were Vinton Larabee and Amanda Wade. Vinton's father was Elijer (Elijah) Larabee and mother unknown. Some researchers have Eliza Willis as Vinton's mother, but this does not appear to be correct, due to date of marriage after Vinton's bith. Vinton had at least two older siblings, William, who never left Illinois, and Mariah, who died in Kansas. Amanda Wade's parents were William Wade and Lucinda Stephens (Stevens.) The Wade family originated in North Carolina. The Larabee family were originated in New York.--Csb5100 13:35, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

Charles Edward Larabee had brothers, and they repeated first names every generation. You might check to see if your Robert Larabee is Robert or Frank Larabee's son, or another brother. I don't think he would be John A Larabee's son, because he moved to California during the dust bowl. Oliver E, another brother, lived in Amarillo, Tx and his descendants moved to Kansas. Another brother, William, died during childhood.

In Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, Oklahoma, the following marriage is recorded: 10-28-1895 Larabee, R.H., 20 to Louis Elevens, 17. This could be the father of your Robert Larabee.
