There is no county in England named Cocknage. You have correctly placed his wife in Cheshire. Would that be a good bet for the husband?

We only use three parts to placenames in England; that is, only one to the left of the county name. If it turns out red, try the other one (or look at the placename list for the county (on the county page)) and see if one is similar to what you (or someone you copied) tried to decipher from old documents.

FamilySearch doesn't worry about this, but it is much easier to read placenames with one space following each comma.
