Baptism [5 September 2008]

Richards stated age of 69 on his burial record would suggest a birth date of around 1744/5. According to Althea Johnson's Breage Parish Transcripts based on his age at burial therd are two possibilities for the baptism of Richard Carlyon. Richard Caleen son of Richard and Alse[Alice] on March 6, 1745/6 and Richard Carleen son of Richard and Mary on September 19, 1742. I have also seen it stated that he was the son of Richard Carlyon and Elizabeth Simonds who was christened on 26 Feb 1751 in Newlyn East, Cornwall
