Marriage? [26 May 2009]

I removed the following somewhat cryptic note that appears to refer to an unnamed book:

twin; note says "= 20 May 1762 Nathaniel Shephard; the only child on Newton record is Phebe, b.4 Mar 1763. No Shepard deaths on Newton Record" THIS SAME INFORMATION IS GIVEN FOR A DIFFERENT PHEBE WILLIAMS ON PAGE 362 (CHILD 3)

Source:Vital records of Newton, Massachusetts, to the year 1850, p. , does show a marriage of Phebe Williams to Nathaniel Shepard on 20 May 1762. This Phebe would have been approaching 40, which is a little old, but not impossible to be having children (Phebe Shepard, b. 1763 on p. 172). Page 214 records the birth of two more likely Phebe Williams, one born to Daniel and Hannah aft. 9 Jan 1730, and another born to Jonathan and Deborah 18 Apr 1740. Based on this data, this marriage does not seem likely to be this Phebe Williams, without additional sources. --Jrich 09:52, 26 May 2009 (EDT)
