Page 570 of Genealogies of Kentucky Families from the Registrar of the Kentucky..., states "William Irvine Adams, son of James and Mary Adams, married Nancy Chinn daughter of Christopher Chinn, of Nelson County, Kentucky." However, it doesn't give a date for the marriage.
