Person talk:Minnie Shuff (3)

Despite Minnie's sister Ella (Shuff) Gear's obituary, Minnie actually married Franklin Weil (not Werhle as stated in the obit). (See Ancestry.com; Ohio Marriages 1803-1900) Minnie and Frank were married in Seneca Co, OH on 7 Oct 1886. You can subsequently find them in the 1900 Census for Cuyahoga Co, OH along with their children Jesse, Alvin, and Ralph. Unless Minnie had more children after the age of 45, these were her only children (3 children, 3 living in the 1910 Census). Minnie died sometime between 1910 & 1920, since her husband Frank was a widower for the 1920 Census... and for that 1920 Census, Frank was living with his son, Ralph and Ralph's new wife Myrtle. In 1930, Frank is still with them (or perhaps they are with him... since he is now listed as Head of Family) and there are now 2 Grandchildren, possibly twins since they were born in the same year, Ralph & Raymond.

Interestingly, when Ralph E Weil (Minnie & Frank's son) filled out his WWI Draft Card on 6/5/1917, it appears that the Draft Board official who signed his card was none other than his UNCLE (Daniel E Shuff)!
