Michael is the end of the McGovern line for me. He is listed as the father of Michael McGovern in the latter's marriage to Maria Burns. His wife is listed as Fannie McGovern in the same document. Michael the son is described as being from County Cavan, but no specific location, and Michael McGovern turns out to be a fairly common name there. What I'm looking for is a connection to a specific Michael McGovern back in Ireland.

I have also had a Y-DNA test done at FamilyTree DNA but have not gotten any relatives close enough to be helpful.--Beirne 23:47, 13 January 2013 (EST)
