Note [27 November 2011]

I moved this note over from an "article" page, as this is the best place for this information. --Jennifer (JBS66) 06:51, 27 November 2011 (EST)

Mayme Mayenschein is shown as a child of my grandfather, Otto Leo Mayenschein, however I am quite sure she was his sister, as I recall my mother, Mary Evalyn Mayenschein Baird (1910 to 1992, remarking that her "aunt" Mayme (or Mamie - not sure of the spelling)had told people that the Mayenschein name was "French" as she did not want to be identified as German. (Apparently due to the current world affairs, it was not socially beneficial to be of German descent in the United States.) Otto and Bessie's Children were as follows: George, Mary Evelyn (my mother), Edna,Bobby, Alice, and Leo. The first three are definitely in order of birth, but I am not sure of the following three. I am positive that there were only 6 children. None of the six are now living, so perhaps I can get more specific information for the records. User:Pat Anderson

Yes, I found that she was his sister late last night. I knew she belonged in the family, but I wasn't sure just where until last night. "Mayme is a nickname & I had her given name listed where she belongs. Claudia--Lilfox 12:49, 27 November 2011 (EST)
