I am removing the death date of 12 Oct 1704, in Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, USA. No death is not mentioned in the cited source, and there is no such record in Source:Chelmsford, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States. Vital Records of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, to the End of the Year 1849. Coincidentally, a Lydia Bates married William Fletcher and that Lydia d. Chelmsford 12 Oct 1704. So it appears that the death date of a different person has been used, since the cited source says this Lydia m. Roger Williams of Dorchester.--Jrich 15:49, 31 May 2010 (EDT)

Neither she nor her husband, Roger Williams, is mentioned in the will of Christopher Gibson (husband of Lydia's sister Margaret), undated but after 1672 [NEHGR 65:63], but their son Ebenezer is. This is not much help in determing the date of death of either Lydia or Roger but does provide a very rough data point.--jaques1724 23:37, 28 November 2013 (UTC)
