supposed father Grancer Dugger did not exist [28 October 2021]

Maxwell History and Genealogy by ??, 1916, p. 340 says:

[Thomas Jordan Uzzell] married in Tennessee, 1812, Mary Dugger, a daughter of Leonard Dugger, who was the son of Grancer Dugger, a native of Ireland, who emigrated to North Carolina.

Grancer Dugger never existed as far as can be determined. This book was the first mention of the name.

Comments: Leonard Dugger (1773-c1817) is a proven son of John Dugger, Surry and Frances Dugger. No idea where the name "Grancer Dugger" of Ireland came from. It is certainly a distinctive name.--DataAnalyst 17:26, 28 October 2021 (UTC)
