how do you know? [23 March 2014]

The birth of Jonathan Marble in 1713 is in Stow, not Grafton (here). But a birth in 1713 would mean he married at age 40 and since the Grafton VRs show them having their last child (12th) in 1776, he would have been 63: not unprecedented, but unlikely to say the least. One would expect he was younger when he married. There are other Jonathan Marbles. Proof is needed. --Jrich 17:02, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

Well the Jonathan b. Marlborough 1721 to Jonathan Marble and Sarah Dudley is younger, but Hudson does not name his wife so there is still no proof being given. Further, Jonathan and Sarah had a son David b. 1738 in Petersham, recorded in Hardwick, which appears to be an addtion to the births listed by Hudson that occurred while they lived in Marlborough. Hardwick is where Jonathan's 1800 death that you added is recorded. And the Petersham records, where this David was born, show Jonathan m. 1749 Rebecca Pratt, as well as the marriage of David Marble in 1764 which would fit a birth in 1738. This suggests these Petersham Marbles are the ones that come from Marlborough. On top of that, the Jonathan of Grafton did name two of his earlier children Joseph and Hannah, which happens to be the parents of Jonathan of Stow b. 1713. --Jrich 19:34, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
