John is shown here born 1691 with a mother who died in 1662 and a father who died 1691, to parents who lived in Massachusetts, but he is born in Virginia, but then married and died in Massachusetts. John has two marriages and has a son named John in both, one born in Virgina and one born in Massachusetts. The really weird thing is that the History page shows no evidence of a merge having been done, rather this page seems to have actually been uploaded from a GEDCOM in this state. On studying this issue, it is apparent that this page was meant to be John Pemberton of Bradford, but it is following bad genealogy, and did not even faithfully transmit the bad information, messing it up the additions of Virginia locations??? The parentage of John Pemberton is suspected to be John and Deborah Pemberton of Malden but there is no proof of any kind. Further, there is every reason to believe that the son John Pemberton was born in the 1670's so that he was at least approximately the same age as his wife, not in 1691 which is when his suspected father died. In addition, as Deborah Hills d. 1662 (VR Malden, p. 351), she was clearly not the "Deborah wife of John Pemberton of Malden" named in a deed by Joseph Hills in 1676, nor could any subsequent daughter born after this 1662 death be old enough. I am going to be correcting all this per various sources, as much as possible. --Jrich 23:03, 20 July 2010 (EDT)
