The VRs of Newton give no date for the birth of Elizabeth, but contain a notation "b. after ch. b. Sept. 11, 1716". Jackson's History of Newton likewise has no birth date, but places Elizabeth between John b. 1704 and Abigail b. 1709. His grounds for this placement are not given, but if we could find a marriage date, perhaps we could estimate when she was born.

The death record is not found, but since the family moved to Marlborough about 1720, and then several brothers moved to Shrewsbury, it almost certainly would not have taken place in Newton. If she married and had a different name, the marriage needs to be documented to enable the death date to be verified.

Inspecting the Marlborough VRs, there is a marriage of Elizabeth Holland to Isaac Temple in 1725. This would justify estimating Elizabeth's birth to about 1705 or 1706. Isaac Temple, like the several brothers, moved to Shrewsbury. Ward's History of Shrewsbury, p. 449, says "The death of Isaac Temple is not on record ... When his wife Elizabeth, d. is unknown."
