One World Tree [17 May 2014]

Trying to get my arms around OneWorldTree. Not familiar with it in terms of reliability. Especially difficult since I don't have access to it. As used here, it's not of much help to anyone researching the Hayward family. Keep - delete?--Frank 22:40, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

Ancestry's webpage on it. In terms of authority as a source on its own right, it's useless. It is only good if it cites sources, and then those sources ideally should be confirmed and cited, or at least brought forward as part of the citation of OWT, since they are what's important. If cited without giving the sources the data is based on, it is no better than an unsourced GEDCOM. Citations like on this page should be deleted: they don't tell which data come from the source, they don't tell what it is based on so one can confirm it, they don't give you anything to analyze when there is conflicting data. --Jrich 01:32, 18 May 2014 (UTC)
