Christening date [18 October 2011]

I removed the christening date of 1 Aug 1605 in Bures St. Marys. First, on general principle, no precise christening date should be given without a parish register transcription or a source citing the same. Second it is nearly impossible that such a record exists because there is a gap in Bures St. Marys parish registers from 1602 to 1609 (Source:NEHGR, p.143:320). Finally, it doesn't fit because Anne is called the youngest daughter and so must be younger than Bridget who is said to be born about 1610. Since it was typical to be younger than the husband and Bridget's husband was born about 1608 (based on his age on a passenger list), this seems a reasonable estimate. Since Anne married 1636, a birth in 1605 does not seem reasonable. --Jrich 20:46, 18 October 2011 (EDT)

I concur - it is highly unlikely she was born that early. I was tempted to make this change some time ago but I did not want to stir up another storm. So I opted for the less aggressive course of correcting the spelling of the place name and removing the baptismal date as the birth date.--Jhamstra 20:57, 18 October 2011 (EDT)
