Daily Times-News, The Friday, January 18, 1974 Zimmery "Jim" SHOFFNER, 95, 'of Rt.'l, Julian, died in a Greensboro nursing home Thursday following a lengthy Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina The body will remain at McClure Funeral Home in Burlington through the service. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Mike and Alice Euliss SHOFFNER He was a retired farmer and was the oldest member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ near Whitsett Survivors include his daughters, Mrs.. Georgia Jones, Rt. 1, Julian, with whom he made his home, Mrs.. Norman May, Rt. 4, Greensboro; sons, Robert W. SHOFFNER, Raleigh, Luther W. and James R. SHOFFNER, both of Greensboro, Garland SHOFFNER, Washington; and 17 grandchildren. Final rites will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ. The Rev. Raymond Craven, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Greeson and Neese Funeral Home on Rt. i, Julian, until taken to the church for the service. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m., and at other times at the homes of his daughters.
