He was born on a farm in Allen County, Indiana, Nov 21, 1878, and after he was married purchased a small farm a few miles west of Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he lived until 1921 when he removed to a farm in Jefferson Township, Whitley County, Indiana, where he lived until after the death of mother, Oct 9, 1933, when he removed to Luddington, Michigan to live with his youngest son Joe.
